Dr. Ian Riggs possesses over thirty years of executive leadership in quality management across the automotive and aerospace industries.

He formerly served as Executive Vice President of Quality for Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace and Group Quality Director at Cosworth Technology (Audi AG).

During his tenure at Rolls-Royce, he led the global Zero Defects strategy across the entire operations and supply networks.

As a founding member and past Chairman of the Aero Engine Supplier Quality Group (AESQ), Dr. Riggs presided over the creation of the AS13100, AS13003, and AS13004 international standards.

He was awarded an Engineering Doctorate from the University of Warwick for his research into remote supplier selection strategies in the automotive industry.

 

He also gained a Master of Philosophy research degree from the University of Glamorgan for work on the deployment of a Cost of Quality process within a manufacturing organisation.
